I am trying to make a book for Emily's first b-day with all of the photos from her first year. I have most of it done, but I have some catching up to do in the next couple of weeks. How has a year almost already gone by? Here are the most recent pages I have finished.

Emily is now officially walking. In just a few days she has learned to walk across the room. It is adorable. I promise to post photos and video soon.

Search for a New Doctor

Sorry guys you may want to skip this post. Ok so my insurance doesn't cover my ob/gyn anymore and it is that time of the year, so I am looking for a new doctor. My last Dr. I generally liked, but office visits often were two or more hours of waiting. He always seemed rushed and you had to pry information out of him. Ideally I would like a Dr. that is close and doesn't have a super busy practice. I am ok with new Dr.'s. I am all about drugs, and I don't want to feel guilty about taking an epidural, for future reference. With Emily I was induced early because of my gestational diabetes, that would be awesome in the future. Ideally I would like a Dr. that is affiliated with Jordan Valley Medical Center, I don't know how excited I would be about traipsing across the valley in labor, hypothetically. I don't want someone that will make me panic over small stupid things. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.

New Pages

Here are some new pages I have been working on. Sorry Salina I totally scraplifted one of your layouts, it was just too cute. FYI you should be able to click on the image to make it bigger to read the journaling.

Cutest Thing Ever

Ok so tonight I went to check on Abby and Peter after they had gone to bed. Before bed we went up stairs and cleaned their room, so it would look nice when mommy and daddy came home. They played for about an hour and a half and finally fell asleep. When I went up to check on them the room was almost as clean as when they went to bed (I don't know what they played with for an hour and a half). I think that they are really excited to see mommy and daddy. They are so cute. I went down and checked on Emily and she woke up gave me big smiles and then went back to sleep. I love that little girl. I am so glad that she is such an easy baby she eats well, sleeps well, and is so easily entertained. I am so lucky.

I Made It

Amy and Dave land in three hours and I haven't killed any children or burned anything (besides the hotpad). I think that I could live the rest of my life without hearing "No Baby" or "Mine." Abby is used to being the baby and is having a really hard time having Emily around. This week has taught me lots of things 1. I should not have a lot of kids. 2. Car seats should be spaced, this ensures that kids don't hit each other while in the car. 3. Kids should be more than 16 months apart (Peter, Abby, and Emily are all 16 months apart). 4. It is really hard being a full time mom of more than one. 5. Two really is terrible. 6. Kids are super cute when sleeping, dancing, and eating popcicles.

Here are some photos from our trip to Kid City Children's Museum. It was such an awesome place. Emily LOVED it. She loved playing with the kids, climbing on stuff, and putting things in her mouth (I was less fond of that part).
Air was blowing out of the pigs backs and the balls would float in the air.
Emily mostly just wanted to suck on the balls, yuck!
Emily loved playing with Abby on the space ship. She was excited to be standing up like one of the big kids.
Abby and Peter were pretty cute serving up our lunch.
Peter loved the trains. His favorite part was playing in the pirate ship and "processing the fish" they had a bunch of different conveyor belts that would carry the fabric fish across the room and drop them in a bucket. It was actually pretty cool, I wish I would have gotten pictures.
Emily also enjoyed the tea party room. Abby liked playing with the toaster.

This photo pretty much sums it up. Notice there are like 100 carrorts and Abby is trying to take away the one the Emily is playing with. Emily could have sat here and "picked" carrots all day. I would "plant" them and she would "pick" them.
I only have a few more days in CT. I leave for home on Tuesday. It has been fun. I can't believe how beautiful it is here. There is so much to do and so much history. I could spend weeks visiting all the sites.

Alone With Three Munchkins Day Three

So today we went to the aquarium in Mystic (yes there is actually a Mystic CT, like in the movie). BTW Mystic Pizza is a really stupid movie, even if you are a Julia Roberts fan. However, Mystic CT is a super cool place. I would have loved to spend more time there looking at the sea port. I am a sucker for aquariums though, so I had to check it out. It was pretty good, they had a lot of large mamals (beluga whales, sea lions, seals). The tanks were not nearly as good as Long Beach though. Abby, Peter, and Emily generally seemed to enjoy themselves. I thought that the sea lions would be the highlight (you can see from the pics below that they were interested at first, but it was too much sitting. Emily was just happy to clap with the crowd). It seems that "Nemo" and "Dorrie" were way more exciting. It was hard to drag them away at the end of the day. No naps made babies and Aunts very grumpy by the end of the day. I am trying to decide if we want to go to Gillette Castle tomorrow, or to the library to get some movies. Right now I am just enjoying the quiet while I watch "So You Think You Can Dance." The dishes seriously need to be done, but right now I am just pleased that I managed to sweep up the bag of oyster crackers that was dumped on the floor while I was in the shower.

I know that the pictures are not great, but this is what you get when you are trying to be sure that three little kids don't wander away.

Alone With Three Munchkins Day 2

So today went better than yesterday. We went to Dinosaur State Park. It was super fun and the gardens were amazing. I was a little sad it was raining and I was chasing kids. I could have taken pictures all day. Peter made a new best friend (see the little boy in the yellow jacket). Emily is getting so independent. She sees the other kids walking around and wants get out and run. She will settle for crawling though. Today she was standing up and pushing the stroller around. It was pretty cute. My favorite moment of the day was tonight when Emily was ready for bed and sitting on my lap watching So You Think You Can Dance. Every once in a while a TV show captivates her. She was sitting in my lap, watching the dancers and clapping when she was really impressed. It was so cute. She also had kidney beans for the first time tonight. She loved them. Lately it really seems that she is growing up. Her personality is blossoming. Again I am exhausted so I am going to keep the post short.

Me and Three Munchkins Day One!

So my sister is on a little vacation with her husband, and I am in CT watching her kids. They are super cute, but I am exhausted after one day. Peter is 3.5, Abby is 2, and Emily is 10 months. The back seat is so full of car seats that I have to push to get the door shut. After we are done taking naps, bathing, dressing, eating, cooking, and cleaning, there is very little time for anything else. I have cleaned up way too much poop today.

We did venture out for a little trip to the carousel. It was a beautiful carousel. Abby liked it and Peter and Emily mostly hated it. We made a major scene at the ice cream store, I was two hours off ( forgot to calculate the time change) and Emily was starving and throwing a fit because she hadn't had an afternoon nap. Peter and Abby needed help seeing the ice cream...after lots of juggling we managed to get three ice creams. I also managed to almost burn my sister's house down today. I put the hot pad on the counter and walked in the other room to check on the kids, when I came back the hot pad was engulfed in flames. I picked it up and threw it in the sink. Fortunately nothing but the hot pad was damaged. I also became much more understanding of my mom, who started more than one fire in my youth. I made Chicken Parm. for dinner I liked it, but Emily LOVED IT (see photo below). Well I am super tired, so I think that I am going to watch a little NCIS and turn in for bed. Below are some photos from today and from the flight here.
