Scraplifting

So I have been in a scrapping funk since about November. I hadn't done any pages in months. After Chloe was born I decided it was time to get back at it. I was a little short on layout ideas, so I have been stealing layout ideas from a few of my favorite sites (http://www.jenwilsondesigns.com/, http://www.shabbyprincess.com/, and http://sweetshoppedesigns.com/)

I have been happy with the results, plus it takes SOOO much less time. Here are the pages from the weekend. Also today I am determined to finish some projects, so we will see how it goes. I will post photos later.

More Pages

So here is what I have been working on the last few days. I know it is sort of a random assortment of pages, but that is what I have been in the mood for.

A Page A Day

So it may be boring for many of you, but my goal is to do one scrapbook page a day until I get caught up. Below are some that I have worked on in the last few days (Emily's blessing and some random photos in December).

Scrapping Again

It has been forever since I have scrapped. Here are a few pages I have been working on. I think that I have already posted most of the photos, so I hope I am not boring you too much.

House Arrest

So while I have been on house arrest, I have captured some pretty priceless moments...

Ryan was playing Guitar Hero and gave Emily the extra guitar so she could play too. She sat on her little couch and strummed away. She also gave us quite the dancing show (see a video clip of her river dancing later in the post).

Our mellow little Chloe Bug. This is pretty much what she does, if only Emily were that happy :-) Emily primarily finds joy in doing busy things, like sitting on the "yuck" (her name for the toilet) and pulling all the toilet paper off the roll and onto the floor. That is a favorite past time that keeps her occupied for hours.

Emily sharing a treat with her baby sister.

Ryan taught Emily about high fashion. In this photo Emily is wearing a Hales original blue plastic strainer, and a pink flower lei. Next stop Milan!

I love this sweet baby.

Emily figured out how to balance on this ball and sat and bounced for about 5 minutes. It was pretty cute, but really what does she do that isn't cute (withstanding the episodes with the toilet paper on the yuck).
The other night she had had it with us and decided she needed to go outside. She stood at the door calling for all of her favorite family members and friends that were not here. Heaven help us when she figures out how to open doors.

Sorry I totally forgot about the sideways video thing again, but it is still cute to watch.

Projects

So I have been working on the nursery and office for months now (yes I am slow). Most of what I have accomplished has been a direct result of my Mom's help. Neither the office or the nursery are done yet. The computer will be in the office until Chloe starts to sleep in her room, so I don't anticipate a quick ending to either project. However, here are some of the projects that I am super happy with.

Here is the quilt for Chloe's bed. We are still working on the bumpers (and by we I mean my mom). She has pretty much done it all (I picked the fabrics and helped cut it).
Here are some letters that I decopauged for Chloe's room.

Frosting Cookies

Tonight we decided it would be fun to frost cookies with Emily, Daddy, and Papa. As usual the activity did not disappoint. It was pretty much hilarious watching Emily frost them and then set them upside down on the cookie sheet. It was also entertaining to watch her eat the sprinkles and lick the frosting off the cookies. Clean up was a pain, but totally worth it :-)

Sisterly Love?

So I may have mentioned that Emily is pretty indifferent toward Chloe so far. She likes to go stand by her and say "koey" "siser" "hold," then when I try to put Chloe in her arms she pushes her away and looks at me like I just burned her with the curling iron. Here is the ONLY photo of them together...and this took MANY attempts. You can totally see the disgusted look on her face. Tonight she showed more interest than she has in the past. She actually rubbed her head and said "Koey, soft, Koey soft." Just when I thought we were making progress I left the pantry door open while I was changing the garbage bag and Emily dragged the empty garbage can over to the living room and said "Koey in, Koey in." Hummmm... I like this photo of Ryan and Chloe sleeping on the couch, he is a good Daddy. He keeps telling her "your too little, you need to grow. " It cracks me up.
Life is a game to Ry. When there is no game he makes one up. This game involved making hats for Chloe out of toys :-) She is doing what she does best (sleeping) and doesn't seem to mind much.

A rare non-sleeping moment. I love this little one. Doesn't she look like her daddy?
Check out the fingers and toes. She definitely got those from her dad. I think her fingers may almost be a long as mine :-)

Emily has been really into shoes lately. I have a million photos because it is so cute watching her walk around in giant shoes. Here are some of the best...

We have been puppy sitting my mom's dog Scooter this week. It has been nice because it has given Emily a play mate during the day and we get to see my dad when he comes home from work and picks him up. Tonight we had some adventures frosting cookies while Papa was here, I will post those photos later.
I think she is pretty stinkin' cute :-)

Can you say regression? Emily has developed a new interest in baby items, especially binkies and bottles. Hopefully it doesn't become a habit :-)
