Thank You

So it looks like we are going to have enough pans, thanks Tiff, Viv, and Alicia.

Emily has been very into saying Thank You lately. It is so cute. Every time she hands me something she says "Thank You Mama." She doesn't quite get the difference between please and thank you, but it is always cute. She also is very into her daddy and often laughs at him and says "silly daddy." My other favorite thing is that she LOVES music. Every morning she asks me to turn on the ipod so she can rock out. Pretty much any time she makes any type of noise she gets really happy and says "making nusic (music)." Right now she is sitting in my lap as a type trying to grab my fingers and saying "no mommy don't push the buttons." Guess I need to give her a little more attention since I have been working all day. Better run.

I'll be sure to post a Chloe update soon. Next week she will be 4 months, she is getting cuter and happier by the minute!

So my mom is catering a wedding and we have to make 24- 8 to 9 inch round cakes on May 31st, if anyone has any pans that we could borrow I would super appreciate it. I may even have a yummy treat as a thank you.

Family Photos

We got new family photos last week. I am really happy with what I have seen so far and can't wait to see the rest. Kit and Ron ( took over 800 photos of us, so I am pretty confident that we will get a few winners in there:-) They are still working on editing the best ones and I am so excited to see them. We went to Gardner Village and it was awesome. Emily was a little obsessed with the ducks, so we had a hard time getting any happy shots that didn't involve chasing the ducks.

This weekend was mother's day and I have to say Ryan really raised the bar. Not only did he bring me dinner after a long Friday, he also got my favorite cake from Nothing Bunt Cakes, and he got me a new external hard drive so I no longer have to be afraid of loosing all my photos. I now have a lot of backing up to do. Perhaps the best part of the weekend though was spending time together. Pretty much all day Saturday we worked on the yard together (my garden is all planted with tomatoes, rosemary, cilantro, onions, raspberries, strawberries, squash, and cucumbers, which is pretty impressive if you have seen my tiny garden!). At church on Sunday Elder's quorum was canceled so that all the women could go to Relief Society and the men could go to primary. Ryan made me a little flower pot with flowers that promised completion of chores (cleaning all the bathrooms, dishes, and putting the kids to bed). It was pretty dang adorable. We spent the afternoon at my mom's. Then today Ry stayed home 1/2 day to watch the girls. As if that were not enough he even did the dishes while I was gone! I seriously love him so much and appreciate him more than he can possibly know. Good riddance WOW, I love having my husband back!

There have been several false alarms over the past month, but I think that spring is FINALLY here. I previously mentioned that our yard had a rough fall. Here are some photos of the bright spots this spring. We still have a lot of work to do to make the whole thing beautiful again, but Ryan is pretty determined. Ry is a recovering WOW (World of Warcraft) addict. Since he stopped playing we have been spending lots of fun time with daddy. Actually, I can't tell you how much I adore him for quitting. It is a super fun game and he is really good, but it was sort of taking over our lives. He decided when Chloe was born that he didn't want to play anymore so he could spend more time with us. It has been months since he has played and I think the shakes have pretty much stopped :-)
I love my lilac bush and snowball bush. I can't wait for them to bloom.

I love tulips and daffodils. They are so beautiful and every year they seem to get brighter and bigger. My tulips should be blooming any day and I am very excited. Then our Trojan planter will be complete. Everything in the planter is cardinal and gold!

This weekend Chloe has been feeling kind of yucky so we have mostly stuck around home. Em started to go stir crazy so we took her up to a park that Ryan and I found before she was born in Fruit Heights. It is the coolest park ever and Emily LOVED LOVED LOVED it. We stayed until she was exhausted. Here are some photos.

Isn't this park the coolest?
